Hi, I am Ülfet. I am a doctor. I worked at a public university hospital for 25 years and then decided to get retired.  It was hard to decide on this, but in the end, I got retired.  If you want to work as a doctor after your retirement, there are two options for you: working at a private hospital or opening a clinic. 

When I was more inclined to open a clinic, I did not want to operate a clinic in the old way. But I did not know what exactly I wanted. Meanwhile, when I talked with Ms. Ulviye, who had set up a business recently, she told me I had to meet Hepşen Ülker, who was a business  coach.

I had not even heard if there was such a profession. I met her, and she explained to me what setting up a business was. Afterward, we started to work together. 

It is true that everything starts with a dream. However, things like goals, vision or drawing a roadmap were completely new things for a doctor who only knew how to do her job.

When I read the books recommended by her, I began to understand more clearly what I exactly wanted.

Apart from setting up a business and working like a technician, we still work and strive for turning our profits into active investments to grow our business and create a  business place that works smoothly in absence of us, moving away from the business and monitoring it from outside. Hepşen was together with us at the beginning of this process and helped me, a person with a mindset which wants a fixed and guaranteed income, to understand what a liberal economy was and developed my financial IQ. She was a different coach who widened my horizon.

Presently, we are a small but functional clinic with two doctors (we have different accounting but common consumption)  10 employees and  a small lab.

We are different from other pediatric clinics in that we have a short-time observation room, a nurse, a lab and milk-handling room that can be a solution for every kind of breast milking problem, which we have opened recently.

Our target group is all parents and caregivers (including grandparents) having children aged 0-18.

 The sentence that reminds me in one word is “pediatrician in love with her job”

In my opinion, business coaching is the support that people like me who work for years at public services must receive. As my husband set up a business and failed in it, he could understand better the accounting part of the business or matters like income and expenditures balance. But I did not know such matters at all. All were new to me. I appreciate Hepşen for all of her support  and am thanking her very much.
